Omni Resort

With summer trips in the horizon I’m getting a lot of questions about where to go for a family vacation. So today I wanted to highlight our stay at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Palm Springs.

Day 1

Omni is only 2 hours away from home, but the kiddos needed a bathroom break. We stopped at Cabazon Dinosour Park for a little stretch.

No trip to Palm Springs is complete without a date shake, so we headed into Hadley Fruit Orchards to check it out. We picked up some snacks, used the bathroom and fell in love with the yummiest “smoome” (smoothies) in town. So good!

We got back into the car to see it had reached 120 degrees! Wow!! So ready for the pool.

We made it to the resort, checked in and ran to the pool. Our friends arrived the day before so we joined them in their cabana for the afternoon.

Omni resort has 3 swimming pools, 2 slides, a lazy river and a beach entrance (complete with sand) kiddie area. So much fun!

Jacob and I got out of the heat for a bit and enjoyed some cold drinks.

We all got washed up and met up for dinner at the R Bar.

We wrapped up the night and headed to bed. 103 at 8:30 pm!!! Nuts!

Day 2

Ready for our day! Each day we got a new splashtopia bracelet.

Our rooms were big, nice and all have balconies with a view of the pool. Our room was so close to the entrance of the pool that we just used our balcony to enter and exit our room.

We started our morning with breakfast at Blu Ember. It’s an all you can eat breakfast restaurant with a special buffet area just for kids.

Ready for the pool!

They have the best pool side menu! The kiddos got Dippin Dots and Icees while the mamas got cocktails.

Such a fun day!

For dinner we decided to venture out to town. We ended up at Old Spaghetti Factory.

I got the black cherry float, so good!!

We got back to our hotel and walked around for a bit. We stopped at the smores pit.

While heading to the outdoor movie the kids were trying to catch itty bitty frogs.

The movie that night was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We stayed for a bit, but decided to head back to our rooms shortly after. We were exhausted!

Day 3

We decided to switch it up and have breakfast on our balcony.

Our view was great! We were right up against the golf course and restaurants.

We got food from the market, Palms Cafe and made a little picnic outside.

We packed up and made our way back home.

Thanks for the fun memories, Omni!

As soon as we got home it cooled down 30 degrees. So crazy!
