It’s been an interesting year finding out with who my real friends are. Being a part of a very large mommy group I’ve naturally gravitated to some moms more then others. Other moms who I’ve been friendly with have decided to take sides. As silly as it sounds, I want nothing to do with it. I know who my real friends are.
Therefore, I was really excited when my new friend from our Tot Shabbat class invited us over to her home for a New Years celebration.
Thank you, Alison and Bryan, for hosting such a lovely night! We had a wonderful time! And the food was AMAZING!
The night started off with this fabulous cheese platter. I was obsessed and couldn’t stop eating it!
Then our generous hosts made three different kind of pizzas from SCRATCH.
With some champagne and mocktails for the kids, we watched the East Coast countdown on TV.
Shortly after we decided to head home and get Sarah to bed. Hubby and I decided to record the rest of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and instead watched The Heat on DVD.
It was a funny movie. Mellisa and Sandra were hilarious!
New Years day started off with brunch of eggs and pumpkin pancakes.
Most of the day was spent lounging around until we started to prepare for The Black Eyed Pea Party. Thanks for the fun evening, Noffke’s! Glad we could be a part of your new tradition. And thank you Luke for entertaining the kids :)
I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of my dish, but my Carrot Souffle Pie recipe needs to be shared. Enjoy!
Happy New Year friends! Here is to a healthy, joyful and successful 2014!!
