I come from a long line of family members who have served in the Army. From my parents, aunts, uncles and even cousins. Thanks to my aunt for helping me dig out some black and white photos to share with you.
So when I heard PBS was putting together a special, I knew I had to share it with my kids. The heartwarming PBS Series: American Veteran: Keep It Close airs new episodes biweekly on Tuesdays through Jan 11th.
Episode 1: The unbreakable bond between a Veteran & his dog.
Episode 2: This Native American carried lessons – and a pebble – into war.
Episode 3: What a small gift from a civilian means for this Army Veteran.
Episode 4: How rap and a broken microphone help this Iraq Veteran survive.
Episode 5: What a stuffed bunny means to this military family.
NEXT WEEK: 11/16 “Lessons Learned From A Failed Military Mission”.
I hope you enjoy watching this PBS Special as much as we did. You can also watch the series online here.
