Simchat Torah {2012}

4 out of 4! We did it!

We recently celebrated the last Jewish holiday of the season! Simchat Torah is a celebration marking the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings, and the beginning of the new cycle. The main celebration of Simchat Torah takes place in the synagogue during evening and morning services. On each occasion when the ark is opened, we leave our seats to dance and sing with all the Torah scrolls in a joyous celebration that often lasts for several hours.

Hubby, Sarah, my mother-in-law (MIL) and I all went to dance with the Torah last Monday night. Since it was later in the evening, we dressed Sarah in jammies and headed out. We almost made it to the end of the event, but Sarah was rubbing her eyes and was ready for bed. Therefore MIL and I dropped hubby and Sarah off at home and headed back to the party.

When that party was over, I dropped my MIL off at her home and I headed to a congregants house for a little L’Chaim!

It was a fun and meaningful holiday!

Here is Sarah dancing with her stuffed Torah we bought for her online.
