Candytopia

After visiting the Museum of Ice Cream last summer I knew I wanted to check out the new pop up museum, Candytopia. So I grabbed 3 of my girlfriends and made the drive out to Santa Monica. We got there a few minutes before our time slot where an employee informed us they didn’t have any bathrooms in the building. So we decided to hit the bathrooms and the bar before entering.

Cheers to girls night out! Inside and ready for some candy! Room 1 –  The first room was super cool! The theme was a steampunk-styled library. After a few housekeeping rules a clock came down filled with chocolate. Candy: Kit Kat We signed the big book and made it to the next room. Room 2 – This room was really pretty! It had an artistic feel with Willy Wonka and Mona Lisa made from Jelly Beans! Candy: candy bracelets  Room 3 – Underworld theme. It was all made out of candy so it was neat, but other then taking a picture inside of a shark’s head it was just eh. Candy: Pixie Sticks Room 4 – Optical illusion. Nothing seems like it should be. Lot’s of fun spots! Candy: Trolli fruit snacks The staff at Candytopia was very helpful and frequently asked us if we wanted our pictures taken except for this one guy. He could not get us jumping in the air for the life of him. Oh well, it made for fun pics! Room 5 – Outdoors. This room was the most fun! It had swings that made us laugh uncontrollably and then a hammock that I sat down with Stacee which we fell off of shortly after. It also had a fun wind tunnel and surfboard. Candy: Laffy Taffy Room 6 – Confetti. This was a pretty room! Every few minutes confetti blasted through a tunnel and a rotating stage made for some belly laughs. Candy: Trolli Fruit Twists. Room 7 – Marshmallow pit. This is the only room we had to wait around for as they only allow a certain amount of people in the pit. While waiting for our turn we hung out in the jungle area. Candy: None Jen and I tried to hang off the bar, but I was in no condition to do so.

Then it was time for the marshmallow pit. Much like the sprinkles pool in the Museum of Ice Cream we swam in what looked like marshmallows, but was actually just foam.So much fun!!! Thank you girls for joining me on my adventures. xo
