We started the week off with a potluck at the park. It was nice getting out and meeting new families.TWO

Jacob has been all over the place with sleep. One day he will sleep 3 hours and the next day refuse to nap. The other day I decided to just let him play in his room. 15 minutes later I walked to see him on the rug asleep. Oh toddlers!THREE

Sarah has become quite the accessorize queen. On this day she is wearing a unicorn headband, kitty knee high socks and a princess necklace. FOUR

Hubby worked late a couple times this week so it was just me and the kiddos. I needed a minute so I asked Sarah if she would read a bed time book for Jacob. I walked in and found them like this. Sweet loves!FIVE

While trying on costumes the other day, Jacob spotted his favorite BLUE engine, Thomas.I’m loving my BLUE tassel earnings I got while In Florida last month. Showering my sister, Germaine, at her bridal shower. We have a lot of fun things planned! Thankful for Pinterest board and lot’s of pins! What else is new…

I got a little gift the other morning. It made me smile! Question of the month is: What are you best back to school lunch ideas and/or tips.

I’m not one of those moms that makes fancy lunches. My daughter gets a sandwich, a carb (chips, crackers, or bar), a fruit (cut up fruit or pouch) and something fun (fruit snacks, a cookie, a leftover candy from a party, etc).

I do have one tip to share. squirt lemon juice on sliced apples and place in baggie in the fridge. It saves it from getting brown and tastes even sweeter. Happy Wednesday!

Show & Tell Tuesday – Best Day Ever

I’m linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.

The theme this week is…Best Day Ever.

This theme can go two ways. I can go down memory lane or share what my perfect day would be like. With school starting I’ve been thinking a lot about my kids and reminiscing their baby days. So I’m choosing to go down memory lane.

Best Day Ever #1 – Marrying my love.

I don’t talk a lot about him on here, but marrying this guy was my best day ever. Best Day Ever #2 – Sarah’s birth.

Yes, marrying my love was a big deal, but truly the best day ever was when they laid my baby girl in my arms. It was a magical day that I will never forget. Read more about Sarah’s birth story here.

Best Day Ever #3 – Jacob’s birth.

My 3rd best day ever was when my little guy was born. I gave birth to him as a nervous wreck. He came out bloody and not breathing well. What felt like forever was actually just minutes until I got to hold my second baby in my arms.  BEST DAY EVER! Happy Tuesday, friends!

Show & Tell Tuesday – What’s On Your Phone

I’m linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.

The theme this week is…What’s On Your Phone.

This is my home screen. I have 4 pages on my phone.

I’m one of those people that has tons of unread emails. It doesn’t bother me, but I know it does bother some people. I skim my emails each day, but I only open the ones that are important. That’s why I always have a bubble next to my mail icon. About 2x a year I click delete all and never look back. :-O

OWLRFoscam: This is where I spy check on my kids. I can be anywhere that has wifi and see what they are up to. It’s nap time now, so Jacob is in his bed. Pic Stitch: This is one of my favorite apps! This is where I make all of my collages. It’s simple to use and has many collages to choose from.Boomerang: The app that loops back and forth. Super fun to use when someone is jumping in to the pool!

Punchbowl: My favorite way to send an online invitation. Which I’m currently using for my sister’s bridal shower!

Canva: Where I make those cute frames to be used in my blog.

Page 2: My stores and rewards program page. Amazon: Use their bar code reader to see if you can get it cheaper and if you have Prime it can be sent to your house for free.

Page 3: Extras, blog apps and games.Heads Up: We love playing this at restaurants or when we have a few minutes to spare. Ellen is a genius!

Uber/Lyft: I like to use this service to get to and from the airport. Use sharonk316ue to get $10 off your next uber.

WordBubbles: A great game to play snuggled up in bed.

Page 4: Kids section.YT Kids: I don’t like the random R or the scary commercials that play during the kids stuff so we switched to You Tube Kids.

Knock Knock: My kids love this game. After you upload pictures of your family, the kids knock on the picture and out comes my sister’s face and name. Great way to keep your kids connected when family is far.

What are some of your favorite apps?

Happy Tuesday!

10 on 10 {July 2017}

ten on ten button
Documenting 10 pictures on the 10th day of the month.
Here is a peek into our day!

The 10th was a bust. It was hot, everything went wrong and I was in no condition to take any pictures.
Hello July 11, 2017.
My day started waaaaay to early, Jacob woke up screaming at 5am. I don’t do early. In fact I’m a horrible newborn mom. I’m exhausted and I loose my cool often.
Fortunately, I was able to lay him back down, but falling back asleep was hard.
I guess I got some sleep, because the next thing I know it is 8 am and the kids and hubby are coming up the stairs. #hallelujah #hubbyisawesome

The kids and I snuggled in bed and watched some tunes, while I tried to wake up.

The kids were getting hungry and I was not yet a functioning mama so we got dressed and headed to IHOP for pancakes.
Before we can even order, an obnoxious old day reached over our booth and told me my kids were being loud. I walked up to her told her it was summer and to get a life.
Again I was in no mood.
I got in the car (rental for the week), saw this awful awful reminder and cried. What a hormonal mess!
I grabbed some fast food, met our friends, Erin & Ella for a movie and calmed down.
We came home played for a bit, laid Jacob down and got dinner started.
After nap we headed to our local library for a Silly Science Show.
We headed to grocery store for a few items. We hit the bakery for a little snack. Once home, I plopped on the couch and couldn’t move. I was super tired!
Thankfully dinner was done so I sat on the couch until hubby and kids were ready for dinner.
Dinner was Pulled BBQ Sandwiches and a broccoli slaw (mayo, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and honey).
After dinner we surprised the kids and took them to 7 Eleven for free Slurpee day.
We let the kids run around for a bit while hubby fixed my bike. Jacob was more interested in playing with daddy’s tools.
It was bath, PJ’s, books and everyone was down for the night.

Hope you had a nice 11th!
