I’m linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.
The theme this week is…Steal & Splurge.
I was a big fan of getting that perfect latte at Starbucks until I got the Keurig 2.0 coffee machine.
Since I am the only one that drinks coffee at home, there is no point in brewing a whole pot of coffee. Thanks to this single use coffee system I can make fresh brewed coffee at home for half the price. For my birthday last year, I got an electric milk frother that took my coffee up a notch.
2. Cook at home
I meal plan and cook dinner 5 times a week. This way we save money on food and eat on the healthier side.
1. Vacations & Entertainment
We like to see things, visit places and do fun activities. Certain places are some pricey then others, but we plan and save.2. Learning ThermostatThanks to our lovely So Cal weather one minute its hot and the next minute it’s warm. Hubby installed a Nest like system that automatically changes the air and heat based on the temperature in our home. We have it set for the morning, afternoon and night. This way the air is not running when it’s not needed. Yes, this thermostat is a splurge, but when you think about how money you save in the long run it makes a lot of sense.
4. Dyson Vacuum
We have had this exact yellow vacuum for over 10 years. It’s more expensive then other upright vacuums, but it still works great. Did I mention we have had this for TEN YEARS!!! Do yourself a favor and get a Dyson!
