Let’s Talk: Moms

lets talk

My favorite part about linking up with other bloggers is seeing what they wrote.

This week we are talking about…Moms.

Since Hebrew is my first language I call my mom ema (E-ma) in Hebrew.

My ema is one of a kind! She is BEAUTIFUL, shy, sweet and gentle. I find myself often thinking or acting like my ema when I am with my kids. She would probably melt if she knew that ;) Hi ema (she is one of my big blog supporters)!

Being the first born, I had lot of one-on-one time with her.FullSizeRender(1)FullSizeRender

My ema was a stay at home mom most of my life. She only started working when I was a senior in high school. She was always there for me. My ema is not Miss Pinterest, but she always made a big deal of birthdays and holidays. Our favorite thing to do was bake. Most of the time it came from a box (keeping it real!).IMG_5811 IMG_5815FamFriendPro86183573_10150415232265571_7070465_n

She is also a great safta (grandma in Hebrew)!! She loves my kids like they are her own.

If we don’t talk within 24 hours she gets worried.

It’s cute (and strange at times). However, I look forward to her calls. Even if at times they are about nothing.

Now don’t get me wrong. It’s not always rainbows and butterflies around here. Sure we argue and disagree at times, but no matter what happens in my life my ema is there for me.

She is my best friend.

I miss her.

A lot.
